Marly Mathes, LCSW
The Moment is now.
And The Moment is yours.
Welcome!
At The Moment Therapy, LLC, we deeply believe in the transformative power of a single moment — that 'aha' moment when we uncover something new about the world or ourselves, or that moment of joy when truly being seen and understood by another. It's in these moments that our perspectives shift, our minds expand, and we gain the clarity needed to take our next steps. At The Moment Therapy, we embrace these pivotal moments, exploring and living within them to uncover fresh points of connection and growth that can guide us into the next chapter of our lives.
As an experienced LCSW, Marly offers therapy and counseling services tailored to individuals and families. We believe in the therapeutic relationship and the power of therapy and are committed to partnering with you to uncover your unique strengths while navigating challenges. Together, we can capitalize on those moments that allow us to build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and create lasting positive change.
Therapeutic Services
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy offers a personalized approach to help navigate life's challenges and build resilience. Using evidence-based approaches like Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), along with relational, strengths-based, and compassion-focused therapies, we facilitate a supportive environment tailored to each individual’s unique needs. At the Moment Therapy, the therapeutic relationship is deeply valued and we work to understand you as a unique individual; fostering a safe space where healing and growth can take place. Together, we will explore your strengths, address maladapted coping strategies, cognitive distortions and self-limiting patterns of thought or behavior, and work towards achieving meaningful and long-lasting growth.
For those seeking more comprehensive support for post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or other trauma-related diagnoses, we offer Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). At its core, CPT is an evidence based, short-term, and specialized program designed to identify, challenge and ultimately change stuck patterns of thought related to one’s trauma. For more information about CPT, please reach out to Marly directly.
Adolescent & Teen Therapy
Adolescent and teen therapy provides a safe, supportive space for young people to navigate the unique challenges of this developmental stage. With years of experience working in public schools, Marly has supported adolescents impacted by trauma, mental health concerns, and life stressors that affect their functioning at school, at home, and in relationships.
Marly tailors her approach to each teen's individual needs, helping them build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and navigate the social, emotional, and developmental demands of adolescence. Through a collaborative and strengths-based approach, she empowers teens to overcome challenges, build resilience, and develop greater confidence in themselves and their abilities.
Child & Family Behavioral Therapy
We are currently pausing new child and family therapy intakes as we develop a more comprehensive and integrated approach to supporting children and families. At The Moment Therapy, we believe that meaningful change is best achieved through collaboration and a holistic understanding of a child's needs.
Launching this fall, our new program will combine therapeutic, behavioral, and educational perspectives to support emotional growth, skill development, and improved functioning for children and families experiencing behavioral, emotional, or developmental challenges.
